Aled Lees started as an SMFC pilot last Tuesday. On Friday 30 December in what seemed the only fair weather window for some time to come, 2 new Mode 2 junior pilots experienced their first flights with David Davis.

Jack Freeman is pictured with his Dad and David. Guy is also pictured with David. Guy isn't a hoodie. There was fine drizzle.  Both 13 year old boys won places in the SMFC Flying Scholarship Scheme. Guy is also a junior accomplished violinist. This was his first fiddle with radio control. (I couldn't resist that!) Jack wrote in his prize-winning essay of his belief in air - superiority. 

Both boys enjoyed their E-Flite Apprentice sorties but rain stopped play after only one flight each.

Jack, Guy and Aled will be making regular visits to Forton in the near future in their ambitions to become A pilots. Please make them welcome whenever you see them with their parents. We now have more junior members than any other model flying club serviced by Whitchurch Models.
